Variety Guide
In the U.S., there is a wide range of commercially grown apple varieties. Each variety offers a unique flavor and color that makes it loved by consumers. Some varieties grown in USAEC’s member states may look slightly different from state to state. These differences reflect the distinct regions where the apples are grown.
Apples can be enjoyed fresh and in a variety of dishes, including in salads, entrees, and desserts. Some apple varieties shine best when they are cooked as part of a new or traditional recipe- but you can enjoy our apples in many ways throughout the day.
